Why Good Soil
Creation is our classroom.
Creation is our classroom. Good Soil Nature School invites children to wonder, observe, research, cooperate, and learn with all of their senses.
Creation Keepers. Students learn to steward what the Lord has called good. Through a fun, messy, attentive process, hearts and minds grow toward fruitful harvests.
How It Works
Nature is the medium.
Various subjects and skills will be explored through that medium.
Core Skills
- Critical thinking
- Cooperative learning
- Observation and research
- Resilience
- Social-emotional growth
- Presence, attention, and reflection
Subjects Explored
- Natural sciences
- Writing, reading, and poetry
- Art and music
- Engaging literature
The experiences and nature themes are the focus; academic subjects naturally weave themselves into those experiences.
Don't be surprised if your child develops: an increased attention span; begins to play creatively and imaginatively for longer stretches of time without screens or activity suggestions; begins to notice more beauty and wonder around them each day; or finds enjoyment in being still and present.
